LawNation ("LawNation", "we", "us", "our") provides online legal documentation services, including drafting of rent agreements, e-stamping assistance, notary coordination, and related services (the "Services"). To prepare a rent agreement and process your order, we collect:

• Contact details: name, email address, and phone number.
• Identity information required for the agreement and for state stamp-duty / e-stamping compliance: Aadhaar number.
• Agreement details: property address, rent amount, security deposit, tenancy duration, and other terms you enter into the form.
• Payment information processed through our payment partner, Cashfree Payments — we do not store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials on our servers.
• Communications you send us through the contact form, service-request form, or email/phone.

• To generate and deliver your rent agreement, stamp paper, and related documents.
• To verify identity where required for stamp duty, notarisation, or e-signature compliance.
• To process payments and send payment/order confirmations.
• To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact and service-request forms.
• To send service-related communications by email or phone (e.g. order status, delivery updates).
• To improve our website and Services, and to prevent fraud or misuse.

Aadhaar numbers are collected solely for the purpose of preparing your agreement and meeting applicable stamp-duty / notarisation requirements. Access to this information is restricted to authorised LawNation personnel and is not made publicly accessible. We do not sell or rent your Aadhaar data to any third party for marketing purposes.

We share personal information only where necessary to deliver the Services:

• With Cashfree Payments, to process your payment securely.
• With government e-stamping portals, licensed stamp vendors, or notary partners, strictly as required to issue a valid stamp paper or notarise your document.
• With service providers who host our infrastructure (e.g. cloud hosting, database, email delivery), under confidentiality obligations.
• When required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted administrative access — to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain agreement and order records for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal/regulatory retention requirements, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any retention we are legally required to maintain.

Our website may use essential cookies to keep the site functioning correctly (for example, to maintain your session while filling out a multi-step form). We do not currently use cookies for third-party advertising.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by writing to us at support@lawnation.online. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any information we are required to retain by law.

Our Services are intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
